Local Classes & Social Dances!
In this beginner’s swing dance class (also known as Jitterbug or double time swing) you will learn the basics of partner dancing to the infectious tunes of the 1950’s/60’s and most songs with a regular foot tapping beat. This is one of the easiest partner dances to learn and is very versatile with lots of fun moves to help you look great and to have fun at any social event.
There is a half hour of social dancing and practice time after the class from 2.30pm which all beginners are welcome to attend.
No partner or previous experience required.
This class is open to all students who have completed the beginner’s Swing dance classes. In this class you will learn more moves, sequences and styling to help you enjoy your dancing even more.
This class is preceded by a half hour of social dancing and practice time and a beginner’s class which we welcome all intermediate students to attend free of charge.
Learn the basics of Salsa, Bachata and Merengue. These popular Latin social dances are found in many Latin night clubs, so if you enjoy the upbeat rhythms of Latin music, this class is for you.
You will learn the basic footwork and some simple sequences to get you looking good on the dance floor and up enjoying these fun partner dances. You don’t need any prior dance experience or your own partner.
This intermediate class is for more experienced dancers who have mastered all the basic moves from the beginner’s class and can dance with a partner with confidence. This class will teach you some more advanced moves, styling and fun sequences to help you shine on the dance floor. Intermediate students are welcome to also attend the beginner’s class prior for no extra cost.
